Virginia University of Lynchburg received two grants totaling $783,850 from the Department of Interior, National Park Service (NPS) through the African American Civil Rights grant program, for the preservation/rehabilitation of the Historic buildings; the Mary Jane Cachelin Library and Grahm Hall. Project tasks will include repairing stone and brick work, windows, gutters, roof, and waterproofing the buildings to stop existing water infiltration.

This project is supported through an African American Civil Rights grant, provided in whole by the Historic Preservation Fund, as administered by the National Park Service, Department of Interior.
